Being out of school meant we could go and see a bit of local culture/history with the flag raising ceremony for the local Armed forces.

Another unexpected advantage of home educating; holidays during "term time" when the pool is quieter and all the family can afford to come. Lots of swimming practice and bonding time this week!

This was great; a chance to put on Victorian Costumes and a classroom set-up at the Milestones Museum had our crowd of children immediately putting themselves in role as class and teacher and sharing all they knew about Victorian schools!
