Fire safety workshop!

The firefighters were brilliant, giving lots of useful information without scaring the children and talking about road safety as well. The children particularly enjoyed the hose demonstration!

What Home Education Looks Like - 8th May 2017

My cousin put our names forward for the class she works with to be a recipient of their Flat Stanley project, based on the books. We received in the post a "Flat Julius"  from America to show around where we live.

Typically Flat Julius arrived at a time when we had no trips to London planned, and with a short turnaround time to get him back we had to make do with taking him to Alice Holt to meet the Gruffalo.

What Home Education Looks Like - 1st May 2017

This is Frank, known as "Accidental Frank" in our house.

When we went to visit friends in Norfolk we stopped of at a Tesco and the kids spotted Frank on a poster. they thought his expression was hysterical and so they grabbed a load of his recipe cards and in the weeks after I started finding them all around the house! Accidental Frank turned up everywhere.

After a bit of searching for alternative ingredients (avoiding dairy for the boy and wheat for their dad) we made Accidental Frank's recipe and it was delicious!

Tesco even sent us our own Accidental Frank posters!

I'm still finding him all around the house!
