The Secret Door

The Secret Door
The Secret Door is presented by Safestyle UK
We were recommended this website by another home ed family. Click on the door above and it takes you to different places around the World. Really lovely way to explore places you may never have thought of, and great opportunity for learning as we try to find out more about where we have ended up.

Here are some of the places it's taken us so far........

What Home Education looks like - 7th Sept 2012

Whilst all the schools were starting back we studied History and Geography taking a trip under the Greenwich foot tunnel first opened in 1902.

The Olympics Opening Ceremony made Papaya and Povey very interested in Isambard Kingdom Brunel  so we were able to compare with and imagine the Thames Tunnel (now no longer a foot tunnel and used for trains) built by him with his father.

Thought I should also share this video, which was made in the interests of raising awareness of Home Education; this is what it looks like for other families....http://snack.to/pztjl1db
