As anyone else in England knows, the theme to this year so far has been rain... and lots of it. It has just been relentless and it really does seem like there can't possibly even be any water left in the sky to come down. We were getting a bit housebound but then my daughter decided that we should take a walk to the park every day, whatever the weather! It has actually really helped us embrace the weather rather than get depressed at being stuck inside.
As the week progressed we watched with alarm as the water levels rose and rose!
Can you see that pipe running across the river half-submerged? Well the day before this photo the water hadn't even been touching it!
At the park things were even worse, we had to wade through water up to our calves to even get into it!
The most amazing thing was the water trapped under the padded flooring under the climbing frames. We've tried to capture it in this video.
