Day of the Girl part of the WOW (Women of the World) events at Southbank. Papaya and I went to an event beginning of this year and again it was just the two of us who headed into London leaving the boys to have a day together.
First thing when we got up was a sneaky lunch out at Papaya's favourite, Yo Sushi!
Then into the event itself. Most of the other people there were in large school groups so we had to latch onto people to get into various workshops and events. Papaya got her special bag of goodies.
Performing were a fab female band called The Tuts, who now have a new fan!
The finale of the day's events (and the main reason we were there) was Caitlyn Moran talking directly to an audience of girls aged 11-16. Unfortunately the sound wasn't great in there but it was a wonderful positive, empowering talk.
A quick bit of shopping after that...
...and then we headed home.
