What Home Education Looks Like - 21st March 2016
We went to Milestones for their annual Lego event, normally called Lego Mania but this year called "Brick Kingdom". It was different to previous years, with a much more coherent plot and flow through the museum with booklets to fill in. These signs were a new thing too....
The children started by making their own mini-figure...
....then we moved into the main part and filling out the booklets. I was worried they might find it a bit young, but they were very enthusiastic and seemed a better age for it than the toddlers we saw going round.
There were even costumes big enough for them!
Yup they're both getting tall!
After we'd been around the whole thing once we went up and ate our lunch and they got themselves some lego sets from the shop.
We then went back down to do the penny arcade (they bring pennies for it every time!) and a visit back to some of their favourite bits.

What Home Education Looks Like - 14th March 2016
In order to attend WOW (women of the world) Festival and an event called "Wonderwomen" for Secondary School girls. Papaya and I walked from Wapping to Southbank.
The event was in the Royal Festival Hall and there were 1000 girls plus their teachers/parents.
The day had speeches from famous inspiring women, (including Sarah Brown, Sabrina Mahfouz, Tanni Grey-Thompson, Megan Beech and Laura Bates) each talking about the women that inspired them. It also had a Beyonce medly which we learned to sing and dance to and a DJ playing an inspiring song mix from which we had to choose the top 3 songs.
I've got a bit of video here, the first part is a couple of the songs from the medley with the girls showing their support for them by singing and dancing, the second bit is Papaya learning the Beyonce dance.
Such an amazing feeling being surrounded by a 1000 girls singing Roar!
